You've probably already heard from the minds behind Stripmall Architecture but just don't yet realize it yet. Rebecca and Ryan Coseboom have collaborated with groundbreaking Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie, legendary Nine Inch Nails/Depeche Mode producer John Fryer, James Lavelle's UNKLE, and underground avant-cellist Zoe Keating. Ryan worked with DJ Shadow on his infamous Radiohead remix and crashed the Billboard dance chart all the way to #1 with a tongue-in-cheek remix of Rod Stewart's sleazy frat-anthem, 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?'. For years, while known as Halou (on the iconoclastic Nettwerk label), they packed venues in San Francisco, toured the US with the legendary Bob Mould and played all the festivals including SXSW, Bumbershoot and even the SF International Film Festival. These days, the pair are laser-focused on their own material and have put together a band that has instantly become one of the most unique and acclaimed in the once-again vibrant San Francisco music scene. Much has been written about the band already by everyone from Wired, MSNBC and CMJ to Laughing Squid, Future Music and local rags and papers up and down the west coast and across the country.
