Since 2007, Another Planet Entertainment and Noise Pop Industries have successfully produced Treasure Island Music Festival, a memorable and
diverse event in one of the most distinctive settings around - smack dab in the middle of the San Francisco Bay, on Treasure Island.
Now in its fifth year, the two-day celebration consists of the best in electronic/dance and indie rock music and is the first music-based
event of this scale and scope to be held on the man-made island, beneath the magnificent skyline of San Francisco. The Festival in the Bay'
is uniquely set up so that each performance is staggered over one of two stages, allowing music fans the option to catch every note of every
band on-stage.
Treasure Island lineups have included a wide range of acts such as LCD Soundsystem, Death Cab for Cutie, Belle & Sebastian, MGMT, The Flaming
Lips, Justice, Empire of the Sun, Cut Copy, Girl Talk, The National, TV on the Radio, Modest Mouse, The Raconteurs, Built to Spill, Thievery
Corporation, M.I.A. and Yo La Tengo and focuses on bringing both internationally known and local acts to the island.
Treasure Island Music Festival also plays host to a variety of environmentally-friendly features, including a fleet of zero-emission shuttle
buses transporting the audience from AT&T Park to Treasure Island, biodiesel generators, a recycling store, bike valet, extensive recycling
and composting including biodegradable cups and utensils, organic festival merchandise and all of the festival's printed materials are on
recycled paper using soy-based inks.
Whether riding the festival's 60-foot Ferris wheel, admiring the local art and vendors or taking in your favorite new band on stage, Treasure
Island offers something for everyone.
SPIN Magazine notes, "Treasure Island Music Festival has become the quintessential San Francisco music bender" and the San Jose Mercury News calls
it "One of the most glorious settings imaginable for a concert."
