In 2008, Another Planet Entertainment along with partners Superfly Presents/Starr Hill Presents, produced the 1st Annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco's historic Golden Gate Park. Since its inception, Outside Lands has become part of the fabric of San Francisco and the Bay Area. The festival features 100 artists on 5 stages and weekend attendance of 180,000 in the western end of the 1,017-acre park. In its first 4 years, Outside Lands has contributed over $4.3 million to San Francisco's Recreation & Parks Department.

Internationally renowned headliners perform alongside the best emerging acts in the world at Outside Lands each year. Artists that have graced the stages in years past are both impressive and eclectic, including Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews Band, Muse, Jack Johnson, Kings of Leon, Deadmau5, Phish, The Roots, Al Green, The Strokes, Wilco, The Original Meters, Erykah Badu, Mavis Staples, The Black Keys and Manu Chao to name a few.

Outside Lands celebrates the best of San Francisco and the Bay Area - music, food, wine and art. Creative music programming features an emphasis on local music culture, where 20% of each annual artist lineup hails from the SF Bay Area. Equal attention is paid to ensuring that the festival honors the significant role food and wine plays in San Francisco and the Bay Area's history and economy. Ticket holders have access to a feast of Northern California's culinary culture through 'A Taste of the Bay Area' and 'Wine Lands,' showcasing 45 of the best and brightest local eateries and over 30 top regional wineries.

A triumph from an environmental standpoint, Outside Lands is one of the most environmentally sustainable large-scale music festivals in the world. Boasting a 75% waste diversion rate, a high standard of greening initiatives are emphasized throughout the festival including a fully-powered solar stage, an eco village with non-profit partners, a bike valet, recycling store, biodiesel generators, locally sourced food and compostable utensils, cups and food containers.

With incomparable vision marrying music, food and wine in a fashion unlike any other festival in the country, Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival is an annual tradition for San Francisco and the Bay Area community and has become one of the most popular summer events in the country. The San Francisco Chronicle noted, "Outside Lands is not just a rock concert. It's an all-encompassing concept - a miniature city that rises in the middle of the park and bustles with great local food, beautiful people and nonstop music from every imaginable genre..." After the festival's 4th annual appearance in SF, Rolling Stone said, "This was the year that Outside Lands finally became the festival it always promised to be - which is to say, one of the greats."
